Since 2006, the Palace Hotel has invited representatives from local community organizations to participate in our Annual Gingerbread Decorating Competition and benefit their favorite nonprofit. Joining forces with a member of the Palace culinary team, participants will design and decorate a signature gingerbread structure to be on display in the Palace lobby from November 23rd through December 31st. During this time, guests are invited to participate by voting on their favorite gingerbread design and entering to win one of three weekend stays for two at the Palace, including Sunday brunch at The Garden Court.
Guests can also donate during the voting process. Three winning celebrity designer’s charities will receive all donations plus a check from the Palace Hotel. Together with our guests and participants, the Palace has raised over $38,000 for local nonprofit organizations. Previous beneficiaries include PAWS, Meals on Wheels, SFCVB, the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley and many more.
